About Riah Greathouse, Esq.

Riah Winston Greathouse is a proud native of Atlanta, Georgia. A graduate of Woodward Academy, he earned a Presidential Scholarship to Hampton University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class.

Mr. Greathouse is licensed to practice law in multiple jurisdictions, including Georgia, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, and New York. Since beginning his legal career, he has served as counsel of record in over 10,000 legal matters nationwide, achieving a consistently high rate of success.

One of his most formative professional experiences was serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted a wide range of cases—from drug offenses to serious violent felonies. His time as a prosecutor provided extensive courtroom experience and sharpened the aggressive, results-driven approach he brings to every case.

As the founder of Greathouse Trial Law, Mr. Greathouse has built a nationally recognized plaintff’s practice known for excellence and elite client service. He was selected to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in 2016 and to the Hampton University Alumni Top 40 Under 40 in 2021. He has also been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Stars honoree and has appeared as a legal analyst on major media outlets including Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and alongside Nancy Grace. His firm has recovered well over $100 million on behalf of injured clients and was recognized by Law Firm 500 as one of the fastest-growing law firms in the nation.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Greathouse is deeply committed to service and community impact. In 2023, he became a benefactor of Woodward Academy, where the baseball facility was renamed Greathouse Field, making him the first Black American to have a facility named in the school’s then 123-year history. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Zena’s House Incorporated, was a board member of Impact CDC, is a former member of the City of Atlanta Board of Ethics, and a member of the Woodward Academy Governing Board. He is also a member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta.

Mr. Greathouse has completed executive training in Negotiation at Harvard Business School. He and his wife are co-founders of the Greathouse Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to mental health resources for underserved communities.

Outside of his professional and philanthropic work, Riah enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on Atlanta’s home teams—the Falcons, Braves, Hawks—as well as Georgia Bulldogs. Additionally, he is a proud initiate of the Gamma Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. His ideal downtime includes grilling wings or beef ribs on the Big Green Egg by the pool, paired with a well-earned glass of premium tequila.
